Abyssinian Launches Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2030)

Abyssinian Flight Services and Aviation Academy has officially launched its Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2030) during a ceremony held on Friday, March 6, 2026.

To guide the development of the plan, the company established a Strategic Plan Development Committee, mandated by top management to oversee the process. Over several months, the committee conducted extensive work including SWOT analysis, industry assessment, activity planning, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and budget projections to ensure a comprehensive and practical roadmap for the company’s future.

With more than a quarter century of experience in Ethiopia’s general aviation industry, the strategic plan reflects Abyssinian’s continued commitment to growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. In line with this commitment, Abyssinian also announced its vision for the period: “to be a competitive general aviation service provider in East Africa by 2030.”

During the launching ceremony, Captain Solomon Gizaw, Managing Director of Abyssinian Flight Services, reaffirmed the leadership’s strong commitment to expanding the company’s operations. He highlighted plans for growth in both fleet capacity and operational bases as part of the organization’s long-term vision.

Following the official launch, the company will begin department-level induction sessions, which will be conducted in phases to familiarize staff with the objectives, priorities, and implementation framework of the strategic plan.

The launch of the new strategic plan marks an important milestone as Abyssinian positions itself for continued advancement and a stronger presence in the aviation sector over the next five years.
